Why cannibals are generally called 'Man eating' not 'woman eating' creatures?

In those days man used to hunt animals for food for him and their family too.so woman used to stay indoors wating for his man for the food.that is the reason cannibals are generally called man eating not woman as woman do not hunt like man.
