Why are ebays fees so exspensive .?

don`t sell on ebay it`s a rip off i thought i would try and make a few quid , i sold an item for �5.56 and when they finished i had �4.51 talk about rip of britain, take my advice don`t sell on ebay, even turpin had a mask.
