Beige, White, or Red? Stockings for my sweet pea!!?

this single dad me! wants to know whats more appropriate for my sweet pea to wear @ her xmas dance @ school, she is wearing a grey xmas dress with cute bows and stuff, but the legging part is confusing, there are so many varieties, would beige/white stocking, white lace, hose, or solid red?? most of the girls are wearing like simple dress and knee socks but she wants to wear leggings, so i thi nk white stockings would look nice as i seem a cute pair @ walmart with snowflake patterns, almost lace , would that be ok, single dad here and she is my world! also, i just want to wish everyone a merry xmas, as this site helps me to grow up my daughter in her fashion ways!!
